More Custom Orders

My youngest daughter had her 3rd birthday last week and the couple of weeks leading up to her big day she kept insisting that she was getting a turtle for her birthday.  It was so random and funny that I just had to indulge her and make her a cute little Amigurumi turtle:
It's such a cute and happy looking turtle isn't it?
She loves it and has decided to name it "Awesome" :)
I got a paying custom request from a friend for some toddler boots.  I worked on them with cold fingers while watching my son play hockey.  I love how they turned out!
One of my friends suggested some adult sized booties and I think that's next on my list when I get time!  How awesome and cozy would that be?!
My dear Mother requested some pillows for her couches that had some "character".  I'm going to have to visit her more often so I can see the pillows more! I'm having separation anxiety already :P
She loves them of course and I can't wait to see how they look on her couches.
I also got another request from my husband for a camo beard hat for him to wear hunting... I think these hats are too funny, but they ARE really warm too!

Custom Orders Galore!

I haven't posted much on here yet but I've been very busy with custom order requests!  I love doing custom orders for people.  The collaboration and creating process is just fun.  I made this adorable baby hat for a friend who found a picture and wanted to know if I could make it.  I found the actual pattern and was able to make it up pretty quickly.  I love the interchangeable flowers.  I also HAD to make some for my girls as well :)
I also had an order for this baby hooded sweater.  The pattern was more advanced than I'm used to so I wasn't sure if I would be able to pull it off or not, but I wanted to  try it and challenge myself.  It was more time consuming than most of my projects as well but I'm glad I did it, it turned out so sweet!
I also got the opportunity to make the girl version!
This baby vest was another request that I was able to be creative with.  I finished the vest and it just seemed to SCREAM for a bow-tie :P
I made a color blocked infinity scarf a month or so ago and then I got a message from a customer that said, "hey, I love this scarf! could you make me one in VT colors?!" and I said sure thing! What a great idea to do a school color scarf!  I made her one in gray, red and orange and then she came back and ordered a second one with cream so she could alternate them :)
And my latest custom order request was for this oatmeal colored bubble pillow...
I love how these pillows turn out, so soft and an awesome texture.  I have many more custom orders waiting in the wings too but thankfully they're all from family members so I don't have a real deadline on them :)

More Adorable Crochet Purses!

My husband and I just got home from an awesome vacation to Yellowstone N.P. and I didn't have a lot of time to crochet last week since we were busy running around looking at geysers and wolves and mountains and bisons, oh my! However we had a long plane ride that I was able to finish some projects on.  On the way there I finished a custom ordered Color-Blocked scarf in Virginia Tech colors.  I thought it was such a brilliant idea to do a scarf in school colors, I don't know why I didn't think of that before!  Then on the flights home I told my husband that I was going to make two purses... I was determined!  I got this first one finished and was in love... Isn't it so colorful and fun?!
It just makes me happy :)
 Lots of room inside too!
My very helpful two year old was so nice to model it for me.
Then I got started on my second purse and just finished it as we were touching down... but I did it, ha!
I have a thing for large wooden buttons...
Purses can be purchased HERE and HERE :)
